Between typical inns and charming hotels in the historic heart of Venice, Ca' Amadi enjoys a truly privileged location. Right in the historic center of Venice, 5 minutes on foot from the Rialto Bridge and the steamboat stop on the Grand Canal, Ca' Amadi faces a characteristic Venetian court from one side and a picturesque river from the other.
Next to the House of Marco Polo, Milion Court and the Malibran Theater, Ca' Amadi is also only 10 minutes from Piazza San Marco and practically in the heart of the shopping area of Venice (crafts and boutiques). The bacari (characteristic Venetian taverns) can be found around the neighborhood, together with restaurants and 'trattorias' where you can sample fares typical of Venice.
How to get here:
By plane
To reach Ca' Amadi from Venice's "Marco Polo" airport, you have three options:
- By private water taxi you will be dropped directly outside Ca' Amadi in approximately 25 minutes.
- By the "Alilaguna" motorboat, you will reach Fondamenta Nuove in less than 40 minutes. From here you can easily reach Ca' Amadi in approximately 10-15 minutes. From the landing jetty, go along the "Fondamenta" on your right for about 100 meters as far as the crossroads with Salizada dei Spechieri. Take this narrow street and go straight on, crossing the Campo dei Gesuiti and two bridges until you get to Rio Terrà Santi Apostoli. At the end of the narrow street, you will find yourself in the Campo Santi Apostoli. Go straight on from here and cross the bridge which you find in front of you. After crossing the bridge, go along Calle Dolfin and follow this road until you come to Campiello Flaminio Corner. Cross the bridge and carry on for about ten meters: after San Giovanni Gristomo Church you will find a street on your left: turn left then a quick right into Calle Morosina, where you will find Ca' Amadi at number 5815.
- By bus "Venezia Air Terminal" you will reach Piazzale Roma in approximately 15 minutes. From Piazzale Roma, take the no. 1 or 82 vaporetto and get off at Rialto. From the landing jetty at Rialto, go to the nearby Campo San Bartolomeo and go along Salizada del Fontego towards S.S. Apostoli. Cross the bridge which goes over the Fontego dei Tedeschi and carry on for 20 meters until you come to San Giovanni Gristomo Church on your right: before the church, turn right and then right again into Calle Morosina, where you will find the Ca'Amadi at number 5815. It will take you approximately 5 minutes on foot from the Rialto.
By train
When you get to Venice railway station, take vaporetto no. 1 or 82 as far as the Rialto. From the landing jetty at Rialto, go to the nearby Campo San Bartolomeo and go along Salizada del Fontego towards S.S. Apostoli. Cross the bridge which goes over the Fontego dei Tedeschi and carry on for 20 meters until you come to San Giovanni Gristomo Church on your right: before the church, turn right and then right again into Calle Morosina, where you will find the Ca'Amadi at number 5815. It will take you approximately 5 minutes on foot from the Rialto.
By car
You can park your car at Tronchetto and take the no. 82 vaporetto and get off at Rialto, or park directly in Piazzale Roma and take the no. 1 or 82 vaporetto to Rialto. From the landing jetty at Rialto, go to the nearby Campo San Bartolomeo and go along Salizada del Fontego towards S.S. Apostoli.
